Amanda & Frosty!

Frosty

Believe it or not, Frost was actually my first bunny. She came before even Willow. Frost is my broken black Holland Lop doe and is around five years old. I tried to teach her to hop back when I was training Willow but she seemed to decide that she wasn't willing to cooperate and I thought that she just wasn't meant to be a hopper.

A few years later, meaning a few weeks ago, I decided to give her another go and just see if she had changed her mind. As it turns out, she had a little but not very much. She began jumping a bit. I worked with her a bit more and was surprised that she started reaching five poles. Although being around a lot of people still makes her very nervous and she doesn't really like to perform in public. She is progressing well at home and even just when she was in an open enclosure at Pet Expo. She is becoming much more social around people and adapting better to away from home situations.

Although I won't be using her in performances, she may just be making guest appearances at some demos to socialise and enjoy being out of the house. I also hope to further her training, even if it is only at home.

Update: Poor little Frosty passed away on March 8, 2010. We love & miss you Frosty...
